I have kind of a fun card to share today, created with the new "Great Chemistry" stamp set from Paper Smooches.
Cardstock: (white) Georgia-Pacific, Stamps: (Great Chemistry set) Paper Smooches, Ink: (Tuxedo Black, London Fog) Memento, Markers: Copic, Gel Pen: (white) Sakura, Glimmer Mists: Tattered Angels
Hee hee. OK, I have to share how I came up with the exploding scientist. Having three young boys I find myself exposed to quite a few cartoons. Inevitably said cartoons introduce some sort of crazy scientist character who will eventually become the victim of his own experiments and will catch on fire and/or be blown up. As soon as I saw this new stamp set I knew this scientist would meet a similar fate at my hands. Mwa ha ha haaaa (that's my sinister I'm going to blow someone up laugh) I mean, c'mon, Kim even included a PERFECT sentiment for me to complete my evil plan! But of course, just like in the cartoons, he might be charred, but it's all good...he's still smiling after all :)
I kept the remainder of the card really simple (cause after you add an exploded scientist to a greeting card you really don't need much more) I just cut a rectangle of white cardstock, added some Glimmer Mists in various colors and stamped the sentiment up top, then added that and my colored and trimmed scientist to my blank card.
There's one more thing I want to mention before I go this morning. It's Operation Write Home's Birthday and to celebrate Paper Smooches has a little contest going on...yes, there's a prize :) For all the details, check out THIS post.
Have a great Monday everyone!
